How much does a new boiler cost in Dublin?
We checked the websites of 34 Dublin installers and national providers on 22 and 23 October 2026. 19 publish a price for a new gas boiler, supplied and fitted. Here's the cheapest package each one lists, with the source linked.

What's usually included
Most Dublin packages include removing the old boiler, a standard flue, a chemical flush of the system, a magnetic filter and inhibitor, commissioning, the gas safety certificate and registering the warranty. Some add a carbon monoxide alarm, a smart thermostat or a free first service.
What usually costs extra
- A powerflush, where the system is badly sludged
- Flue extensions or a new flue route
- Moving the boiler to a new spot
- Changing from a system boiler and cylinder to a combi
- Smart heating controls, where they aren't in the package
- Earth bonding, if the house needs it
Is there a grant for a new gas boiler?
No. SEAI has no grant for swapping an old gas boiler for a new gas boiler. The only SEAI heating grant you can use while keeping gas is the €700 heating controls grant, for homes built and occupied before 2011 (SEAI). The €2,000 boiler scrappage grant only applies when an oil or gas boiler is removed and a heat pump goes in, as part of the heat pump grant (SEAI).
The heat pump grant goes up to €14,500 for most houses built and occupied before 2021, including the €2,000 boiler scrappage payment. Check SEAI's heat pump page for the current rules.

Is there an SEAI grant for a new gas boiler?
No. SEAI has no grant for swapping an old gas boiler for a new gas boiler. Is a combi boiler cheaper to fit?
A like-for-like combi swap is one of the simpler jobs. Changing from a system boiler with a hot water cylinder to a combi costs more, because pipework changes and the cylinder comes out. Published conversion prices run from about €3,100 to €6,500.
How long is the warranty on a new boiler?
It depends on the boiler. On the Dublin price lists we checked, warranties run from 2 to 12 years. Premium models usually carry 10 to 12 years when registered and serviced every year.
Do I need a registered installer?
Yes. A new gas boiler must be fitted by a Registered Gas Installer, who certifies the work. Check them on rgi.ie.

We didn't use directories, reviews or quotes, and we didn't estimate anything. Where a site shows two different prices for the same boiler, we used the one shown on the page and noted the other.
